Oversee quality control of the Great Plains application by monitoring the integrity of the SQL data using SQL and Great Plain file maintenance tools (on-demand and scheduled). - Technical – Installed and setup up software prerequisites; this sets up the base environment, of which the SQL database and core ERP application are installed. Moving all Access databases and ‘quazi-databases’ (Excel spreadsheets) to Microsoft SQL and creating relationships between all data sources. Provide end-users with reports (generally with Excel and PowerPivot, Jet Reports, and Smartlist built-in Smartlist builder)
- Communication – Gathered business process information from floor and accounting personnel, then collaborated with the CFO and Controller to ensure these processes aligned with future operational and financial reporting goals. A GAP Analysis is performed to match software requirements to software features.
- Integration – As a part of the GAP Analysis, the decision is made on what Third Party integration applications are needed to fill the gaps. Current and historical data from disparate systems are migrated to the new system(s).
- Reporting – Install, set up, and create reports with several reporting systems, from ongoing reports to one-time reports.
