The project involved creating a custom number sequence in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 to be used as a unique payment reference number in the export file. They created and implemented a new Project Posting Accounts form. The form provided information about Category IDs such as: if the category was active in a journal, the associated category group, at which level the category was defined, account type and the ledger account to be posted.

This enables the customer to quickly determine the category to apply to a project. It also provided a method to determine whether a category needed to be updated at the table or group level. This candidate executed project to provide a method to import Fee Journal data from an Excel spreadsheet, create the Fee Journal and populate the necessary tables in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 to allow the journal to be validated and posted.  The creation of this process saved the customer significant time executing the Fee Journal process.
