This candidate is a Passionate Software Engineer with years of experience providing programming and database expertise—innovative problem identification, research, analysis, and resolution. Excellent communicator experienced in analyzing and implementing stakeholder requirements. Constantly strives to deliver stable, maintainable, scalable, and cost-effective solutions. Ability and drive to work independently or participate, lead, learn and communicate in team environments. Proven track record designing and implementing flexible solutions using Microsoft technologies such as C#, SQL Server, Asp.Net, and ADO.Net.
In a previous role, this candidate, as a Lead Software Developer, provided Design, code, and led web, Windows, and database projects. Most maintenance was done in VB.NET, while new projects were coded in C# 2.0. This candidate's responsibilities include:
- Mass Email Campaign service: designed and coded (C#) a Windows service-based process capable of processing more than 1 million daily emails. The previous process, coded in vb6, was slow, buggy, and hard to maintain and expand. The solution uses email templates saved in the SQL server table. The data was pulled from SQL into a relational ADO.Net Dataset.
- Bounced Email Management Service: designed and coded a Windows service (C#) reading SMTP server's email boxes to analyze why emails came back (hard bounce, soft bounce, DNS error, etc.). Reasons are then mapped to actions (delete, unsubscribe, forward to Customer Service). The system is configurable (SMTP servers, Reason-Action mapping). Greatly reduced hands-on management of bounced emails.
- Content Management System: Urgently needed a way to speed up publishing new content on the site and a centralized location to manage and store content. This candidate designed and coded (C#-SQL Server) a content management solution loosely based on the RSS specification. This allowed content editors to create articles (content) in HTML format via a web app. The articles can then be assigned to one or more channels (logical content groupings). The content can then be listed and viewed on the site on a channel-specific page. The channel content is pulled from the database and transformed into RSS (XML). The RSS is cached and transformed into HTML using channel-specific or default XSL transformation.
In a recent role as Senior Software Developer, this candidate Designed and implemented an intranet website Sole Connextion.net (C#, SQL SERVER, Asp.Net MVC, JavaScript, JQuery, Kendo UI, Ajax, JSON, Bootstrap). This individual was also involved in designing and implementing a web-based job scheduler using Hang Fire.io. This candidate can Design and implement several jobs/processes added to the job scheduler. Automated collection letters. Automated Sales Order Invoicing (C# and X++ in Dynamics AX ERP). Automated sales report. Exposed SQL Server Jobs to give ERP power users the ability to create their schedules or execute them on demand. Maintained and debug an e-commerce platform (LAMP/Plant) written in PHP and using MySQL running on Linux and Apache. Explore and research e-commerce platforms to replace the ones currently employed, the current focus on nopCommerce and Demandware.
This candidate has technical skills in:
- Applications: Web MVC, Razor, Webforms, WPF, Silverlight, WinForms, Windows Services, Data processing, transformation and reporting, Axapta (Microsoft dynamics AX ERP), HangFire scheduler.
- Languages: C#, TSQL, JavaScript, JQuery, Ajax, JSON, CSS, VB.NET, X++, Object-Oriented Analysis, Design, and Programming, SDLC
- Databases: SQL Server, SQLCE, MS Access, MySQL, Oracle, FoxPro, DBIV, DBII
- Frameworks, tools & APIs: ASP.Net, MVC, ADO.Net, Entity Framework, LINQ, Kendo UI, Bootstrap, WCF, Authorized.net API, nopCommerce eCommerce platform.
- Other: Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, IIS, SEO, VSS, TFS, Windows, TCP/IP, FTP, HTTP, HTML, XML, XSL, XSLT
